Danny Chaplin - Managing Director

Danny was born in Whitechapel, London and educated at Bancroft's School and The University of York in the UK. While still in his early 20's he moved to Kuala Lumpur where he worked as a travel journalist for several years before entering public relations with the Malaysian office of Edelman Worldwide. In 1993, Danny relocated to Singapore and became a Singapore Permanent Resident. He subsequently held Senior Consultant and Vice President positions with Edelman, Fleishman-Hillard, Hickson Public Relations and Ruder-Finn Asia. During his time with these international PR agencies, Danny supervised public relations campaigns and projects in almost every market in the Asia Pacific region. His varied and colourful communications career has encompassed public affairs and corporate PR, issues and crisis management, consumer PR, technology communications, travel and tourism PR, new product launches, sports marketing, industrial and automotive PR. Amongst other things, Danny established the Rover Group brand across the entire Asia Pacific region, launched Samsung's highly successful DigitALL corporate identity in SE Asia and coordinated a three year, nine market campaign for Visit ASEAN Year from 1989-1992. Danny has practised PR in the Asia region for the past 17 years. A Philosophy degree holder from The University of York, UK, Danny is widely respected amongst the local and regional news media for understanding their editorial requirements and crafting quality stories which meet the needs of clients and media alike. Erudite, always engaging, and with an unusual perspective on life, Danny is a truly hands-on communications practitioner who understands the short cut to fantastic results for Chaplin PR's clients.

Grace Zhou - Director

With wide experience in business and corporate environments, Grace brings a wealth of insights from the business world, including marketing, corporate finance and strategic business planning. Grace was formerly the Founder and President of her own Beijing-based advertising and marketing agency which serviced a variety of top Chinese and international clients. Grace, who is fluent in both Mandarin and English, is a graduate in English language and literature from the prestigious Beijing Foreign Studies University and holds an MBA from The University of Louisville, USA. She has a natural flair for dealing with clients and media alike and has a nose for a killer story. Ever popular with the media for her easygoing personality and kind ways, Grace is the perfect complement to her business partner Danny Chaplin.
